In the beautiful historic Plantage district we offer this double ground floor family home with 3 bedrooms in a historical canal building with a garden. There are plenty of shops and restaurants at walking distance and Artis and the Hortus Botanicus are around the corner. For a walk the Oosterpark and Sarphatipark are very nice.
LAYOUT
Private entrance on the ground floor. Through the hallway, you enter the living room. This floor has an open layout, with the living room in the center and the fully equipped kitchen and dining area at the rear. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, a dishwasher, an induction cooktop, and a Quooker. From the dining area, you can access the terrace and the lower garden through French doors.
An internal staircase leads to the souterrain, where all the bedrooms are located. Two bedrooms feature double beds, with the master bedroom providing access to a walk-in closet. The third bedroom is set up as an office and comes with a desk, chair, and wardrobe. There is another smaller room which can be used as a storage. In the hallway, there is also a bathroom and a separate toilet. The bathroom includes a whirlpool bath and a walk-in shower.
The entire property is fitted with underfloor heating.
AREA
The property is centrally located in Amsterdam, in a residential neighborhood with characteristic canal houses and a wide range of amenities nearby. Public transport is well organized: tram and metro stops are a short walk away and metros 51, 53 or 54 provide quick access to Central Station. Various supermarkets, including Albert Heijn and Ekoplaza, can be found in the immediate area. There are also several small shops in the neighborhood for daily groceries. The area offers a broad selection of restaurants and cafés, including venues along the canal and within walking distance of the city center.
STREETNAME
The Nieuwe Prinsengracht was created during the final expansion of Amsterdam’s canal belt in the seventeenth century. Its name refers to the new part of the original Prinsengracht, constructed east of the Amstel river during this period.
